Many friends, family and fans were upset to hear about Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne’s divorce, hoping that the two would someday reconcile. While we are unsure if we’ll get to see one of Bollywood’s favorite couple get back together anytime soon, the “Krrish 3” star is blaming himself for the split.
Times of India reported that during a Google chat with fans, Roshan stated that he takes full responsibility for whatever is happening in his life right now and refuses to blame other people and circumstances for his current situation.
The actor also faced some criticism for the way he announced his split with his wife publicly, stating that the divorce was his ex-wife’s decision, which allegedly received negative feedback from her friends as well.
Roshan announced his ex-wife’s decision to end their marriage during a press conference on Dec. 13, just a few days before their 13th marriage anniversary.
“Suzanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship,” said Roshan. “This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time.”
“I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way,” continued Roshan. “I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honor it at the highest level.”
The “Krrish 3” star has previously thought about trying to make things better with Suzanne, however, will she consider the same?
“Reconciliation? I don’t know. Maybe...I really don’t know,” said Suzanne during her Bandra 190 luxury boutique launch.
Rumors previously swirled regarding Roshan’s affair with actress/model with Barbara Mori and now the media is blaming Arjun Rampal for the couple’s split, however, Suzanne comes to his defense.
“You can’t blame anyone for this. It is sad to blame anyone,” said Suzanne. “We are close-knit friends. It’s not right to blame anyone.”
Suzanne opted to keep the reasoning behind her split with Roshan, who she married on Dec. 20, 2000, to herself.
“There is no reason. Sometimes you have to do this because of a situation,” explained Suzanne.
There have been reports stating that Roshan and Khan recently filed for a divorce in a Mumbai court.
