11 ridiculous Indian laws that need to change

Laws made by Indian government are made for the benefit of Indians, but there are some laws which are favourable for few people while has adverse impact on the rest of the society. Here is the list of such Indian laws.

Domestic violent act, 2005
The purpose of this act is to protect the women, but somewhere down the line, there ares some women who misuse the law for their own benefit. This law is actually promoting inequality against men.

Reservation in india
We are not in the against of reservation, but today the dependency of reservation on the ones caste, gender and religion, is often misused by the people who actually don't need the benefit. It would be better to target the group on the basis of income, instead of caste and gender.

Suicide is legal, attempt not
What the law teaches us, if you are committing suicide, just make sure you're successful at it unless you are definitely going to prison for not doing it right. It need to be changed.

Legal drinking age
In some states, the legal drinking age goes up to 25 years, while the same Indian citizen has the right to elect the government at 18 years of age. How strange it is, he/she is mature enough to elect the government, but unable to decide whether he/she can consume alcohol or not.

Juvenile Justice Act
According to this law, if the criminal is under 18 years of age, he will be admitted to a special home for a maximum period of three years. The law treats cruel gang rape on the same scale as a small theft.

Labour laws
Most of the laws that regulate that employment in the country fails to define an employee or don't attempt. Due to which the rate of employment has not boomed in the last few years the way it was expected to.

The Companies Act, 1956
Even after more than 24 amendments, the law fails to serve the modern business development efficiently. It still has some major flaws.

Discrimination Against LGBTs, Section 377
According to this law, homosexual intercourse is illegal which snatches away the ones basic right to choose the partner irrespective of the gender. The law has treated homosexuality as an act against the order of the nature.

Adultery, Section 497
The law states that a man can be sentenced to jail for adultery if reported, while the women of the country can go around having as many extra marital affairs as they like without being pointed a finger at, which shows gender discrimination in India.

Internet Censorship
39 websites were blocked in 2013 for sharing offensive and pornographic images with the internet users which shows being in a democratic country, we are not at liberty, what we want to watch?

Banking laws
Implementation of many banking laws made the regulation of the financial sector very unmanageable. Though, the commission was to be formed, but till the date, no progress has been made.
