Andhra HC Judge's Son Refutes Dowry Charges

Justice B Chandra Kumar’s son B Ramakrishna on Wednesday refuted the allegations made by his wife Kavya Rao against him and his family members.
Ramakrishna, who is doing PhD at IIT, Delhi, claimed that the issue of dowry harassment was never alleged in the communication he had with his wife through emails in the past several months.
Besides, Kavya had recently sent a draft note of a “mutual consent divorce petition” with one of the conditions being that there would not be any “give and take” between the two at the time of divorce.
Ramakrishna said he had filed a complaint at Jinnaram police station on November 23 against Kavya’s family members for allegedly threatening his life and abusing him. Already, a case had been filed at Medak court for restitution of conjugal rights and custody of his three-year old daughter, which was still pending.
Kavya and her relatives were not allowing him to see his child, he alleged.
