Gurgaon: A 19-year old student was allegedly raped by an ASI in Gurgaon’s Cyber City area on Wednesday.
The ASI allegedly raped the girl inside a hotel room situated on Sheetla Mata road.
A resident of Delhi, the victim had come to stay in the hotel with her friend. On duty in Gurgaon’s Palam Vihar police station, ASI Sanjeev Kumar came to room no. 6 of the hotel where the victim and her friend had been staying.
He began molesting the victim inside the room and later took both of them with him. However, the CCTV installed on the exit gate of the hotel captured the ASI with the victim and her friend while leaving the hotel.
The victim has filed a case against Sanjeev Kumar under sections 323, 354B, 376, 511, 506, 342 and 3 SC/ST of IPC at sector-5 police station in Gurgaon.
Consequently, the accused ASI was suspended and taken intocustody.
Surprisingly, while the ASI was inside the victim’s room sexually abusing her, the owner of the hotel stayed there as a mute witness to the crime.
