Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy reports that on January 29th 2014 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a 21 year old female had multiple incidents of sexual contact with a male subject under the age of 15.
Interviews were conducted and information was obtained that supported the allegations. The suspect was located and interviewed at which time she made admissions as to her involvement in the case.
Arrested was Alexis Garnett, age 21 of Cooper Street, Glens Falls. She was charged with one count of Rape 2nd degree, one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the second degree, and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
She was arraigned in the Town of Greenwich Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5000.00 cash or $10,000 bond, she is to re-appear in Greenwich Court on 02/03/2014.
The case was investigated by Deputy Todd Riche, Inv. Kristen Hardy, and Sr. Investigator Bruce Hamilton, along with Washington County Child Protection Services.
