SURAT: A 27-year-old youth died few hours after being thrashed by his father-in-law and brother-in-law on Diwali eve.
The deceased had gone to bring his angry wife back to home when he was thrashed by the in-laws. Due to injuries Vasava died on Wednesday at a hospital during treatment.
Rajesh Vasava, resident of Mota Jambuda village in Valiya taluka of Bharuch, had disputes with his wife Sangita for the past few weeks and she had gone to stay with her parents in Lingat village of Dediyapada taluka. Vasava requested his wife to return on Diwali but she refused. To convince her Vasava went to residence of his in-laws on Diwali day.
After spending some time in Vasava and his brother in law Naresh and father in law Monabhai developed some dispute. Following heated argument Vasava's in-laws thrashed him and forced him to leave without Sangita. Vasava returned his home in Mota Jambuda.
On Monday morning Vasava's health deteriorated. He was shifted to a hospital in Bharuch in a severe condition. Police are investigating the case and panel postmortem of Vasava was carried out.
